What is the Political Courage Test?

Washington Congressional Election 2022 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I believe the Supreme Court made the correct decision in returning the decision to the people of the state(s). I am pro-life.
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support social safety net programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
Everybody should pay income tax. Then we all have skin in the game, and Democrats will not be able to "buy" votes by giving people "free" money. Nothing is free. Someone has to pay for it. This is another type of class warfare designed by the Democrat party. Social Security and Medicare will go broke if we do not do something to fix it, right away.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations, unions, and individuals?
I believe in freedom of speech even at the detriment to my campaign. I have been defending our Constitution my entire adult life.
No Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
If a government official commits a crime, he should be prosecuted as would any other person, and civil penalties can occur also. I have been a cop for 32 years. Some people do not know what "misconduct" is. If an officer follows his training, he should not be held liable for "misconduct" because he was taught to use that tactic.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
I think we should audit the defense spending, and use the monies wisely. I believe there is a lot of waste, fraud, and duplication.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
Unknown Position Do you support the federal government taking action, beyond those of the Federal Reserve, to alleviate inflation?
Federal spending has caused us to have the highest inflation ever. History shows that when we lower corporate taxes, we actually take in more taxes because more items are bought and sold. I do not agree with what the federal government did to businesses by causing them to shut down. The federal government and our governor of Washington caused businesses to fail, and it is their responsibility to make the businesses whole. We should never shut down businesses. The only action I support the federal government doing is stopping the out-of-control spending. That is the main cause of inflation.
No Do you support the forgiveness of federal student loan debt?
No, it is not fair to those of us who paid our debts and who had to work many jobs. The electrician should not have to pay the bill for the student that went to college and got a worthless degree. We also should not be paying back loans for doctors and lawyers (rich people).
Unknown Position Do you support requiring a government-issued identification in order to vote at the polls?
People from both parties have lost faith in our election process. We need to fix this. I support a national identification for eligible voters. I support making the card free, and making it accessible to obtain it.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
The government has a habit of picking winners and losers. The Democrats are doing this with "clean energy". The market should decide. The federal government is not telling the truth about "greenhouse" gas versus "clean" electric vehicles. The amount of pollution it takes to make an electric vehicle is being hidden from the public. 500,000 pounds of soil removed to get the rare toxic minerals to make one car battery in a third world country using slave labor. The left is lying about what is really happening to the Earth under their watch.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
The Second Amendment was written for us to keep an over-bearing tyrannical government from putting its boot on our necks. We have only to look at history and see what happens when the people are disarmed. An armed society is a polite society.
No Do you support a government-run (single-payer) healthcare program, such as Medicare-for-All?
No Do you support expanding paid family AND/OR medical leave opportunities?
Unknown Position Do you support lowering the cost of prescription drugs?
This is a trick question. I support lowering the cost of drugs, but at what expense elsewhere. I think the market should decide. More competition will drive down prices.
Yes Do you support increasing security along the southern US border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I have been sounding the alarm for years about the dangers of an open border: gang violence, human trafficking, opiods (fentanyl), and terrorists coming across our borders. The Federal government's responsibility is to protect our country. Last year over 107,000 Americans died of opioid overdoses from fentanyl that was manufactured in China and brought across our southern border. We have human trafficking coming across our southern border. We have slavery going on, and the federal government is complicit because we have not secured our border. We have a process to enter our country legally. It must be followed and enforced.
Unknown Position Do you support economic intervention as a means of resolving international conflicts?
Unknown Position Do you support the U.S. providing increased offensive military aid to Ukraine?
I would want to consult with experts before saying yes or no. I do not know what is happening to the equipment and aid we are sending there. It is time for Europe to step up and deal with the problems in their backyard.
No Do you support raising taxes, on any income or on any entity, to promote economic growth?
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
In general I support removing barriers to trade. For reasons unknown, Congress has put barriers on us, and removed them from other countries. That should stop, and the field should be leveled.
1. Border security. The cost to secure our border is cheap compared to all the damage being done to our citizens. Democrats want open borders so they can "buy" votes. 2. Balanced budget. The federal government need to live within its means. We are getting close to the point of no return with our spending. We have build a gigantic debt for our children and grandchildren. Inflation is out of control. 3. Public safety. I will be an advocate for public safety. Crime is the highest ever, and I will help reduce that. I've been a cop for 32 years.
